In conjunction with its permanent art, science & business program, the Akademie Schloss Solitude offers a special off-the-job-training called »Swop Your Work Place«. It is aimed at persons from different occupation groups who are interested to gather new perspectives and motivation concerning their own working structures as well as an insight in other working environments.

Since autumn 2011, the Akademie Schloss Solitude has been addressing the theme Chronicles of Work, centered around an extensive interdisciplinary discussion on changes in modern and contemporary work organization and their consequences for society. From January until June 2013, four internationally renowned scientists from the fields of economy, psychoanalysis, philosophy, and sociology will approach these issues in their lectures.

In this talk, the host of the series, Asmus Trautsch engages in a conversation with the chess grandmaster Vera Nebolsina. Amongst others, they will discuss the significant influence of chess in a variety of fields, such as arts, economy, and science.

In a loose series, the Akademie Schloss Solitude will host Familiar Talks in the years 2012 and 2013 between artists, scientists, persons from the economy and from politics as well as with the initiator and host Asmus Trautsch.
