Norbert Schliewe (*1959 in Frankfurt am Main/Germany) completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter, before he studied visual communication with a focus on film at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach/Germany. He works as a freelance filmmaker and media artist. He has been intensely dealing with the project »Die Luft über dem Toaster« since 1995. Norbert Schliewe is a Solitude fellow in 2009/2010.
