Born 1982 in Wellington/New Zealand.

Alice Miller works as a writer, teacher, and editor in Vienna/Austria. She graduated with an MA from the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University of Wellington in 2005, and an MFA from the University of Iowa, IA/USA Writers’ Workshop in 2008.

Her work has appeared in Boston Review, Narrative, Oxford Poetry, Landfall, Five Dials, and The American Scholar. In 2014 her first book, The Limits, was published by Auckland University Press and Shearsman Books.

Alice Miller has received a Grimshaw Sargeson Fellowship, a Bank of New Zealand Katherine Mansfield Award, a residency fellowship at the Michael King Writers' Centre in Devonport/New Zealand, and a Glenn Schaeffer Fellowship from the University of Iowa.
