Born 1979 in Wuppertal.

Antonia Lotz studied art history, philosophy and applied cultural studies in Münster and Perugia (1999-2006) and graduated with a master’s degree in art history with a thesis on the sculptures of Eva Hesse (February 2006).

She worked as an assistant to Carina Plath, director of the Westfälischer Kunstverein in Münster, and during her studies worked for various cultural institutions, among others the Gallery Alfonso Artiaco in Naples (2003), nowakteufelknyrim, communications design and exhibition architecture in Düsseldorf (2002), and as an assistant to the curator Ortrud Westheider for the exhibition »Plug In: Einheit und Mobilität« (Unity and Mobility) in the Westphalian State Museum in Münster (2001).

As a fellow for art coordination at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Antonia Lotz curated several exhibitions, among others »geschichtet« (2008); »Mind Hacking II« (2007); »Ingrid Hora. Sometimes I Whisper in the Wind Until I hear You« (2007), as well as the exhibition evenings of the Akademie Schloss Solitude in cooperation with the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg: »Römer II« (2006), »Römer III« (2007), »Römer IV. Angst und Hoffnung in zerbrechlichen Zeiten« (Fear and Hope in Fragile Times, 2007) and »Römer V. Sitting on a Cornflake« (2008).
