Born 1985 in Debrecen/Hungary.

Dénes Krusovszky is a poet, critic and the editor of the Pushkin Utca [Pushkin Street] quarterly at the Etövös Loránd Universität of Budapest and the JAK World Literature Series (a book series of contemprary foreign fiction and poetry in Hungarian, introducing both young foreign authors and young Hungarian literary translators).

He studied Hungarian Literature and Language and Comparative Literature at the Etövös Loránd University, Budapest. In the beginning of 2009 he will finish his studies in Aesthetics.

Dénes Krusovszky’s first collection of poems Az összes nevem [All my names] was published in 2006, and his second book will be published in April 2009. His works can also be found in varous anthologies.

Together with ten other young poets Krusovszky made the poetry blog »Telep« [Settlement] (www.telep.freeblog.hu) in 2005. An anthology of their works will be published in June 2009.

He was a participant in a couple of international workshops, such as the »Crossing Places« project (www.crossingplaces.eu/content) in 2007. This workshop took place in Thessaloniki, Barcelona, Milan and Venice. In 2008 he was a participant in a translator’s workshop with other young Hungarian and Serbian poets in Trsic/Serbia. During the summer of 2008 he took part in a poet’s workshop called Re:verse in Szigliget/Hungary.

Dénes Krusovszky is a participant in the exchange program between Akademie Schloss Solitude and Hungarian writers in Budapest.
