Born 1989 in Lumbubashi/Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Dorine Mokha graduated in literature at the Collège IMARA in Lumbubashi (2008) and was awarded the »Zengwei« fellowship for his degree in law at the Université de Kisangani (2011). In 2013, he finshed his studies with a master’s degree in economic and social law with the thesis La problématique de la protection des œuvres musicales face aux NTIC en R.D.Congo at the same university.

Dorine Mokha debuted in Les enfants de Soweto in 2001. Since 2009, he has been living at Kisangani/Congo and has been working at the Studios Kabako, where he started with contemporary dance, writing and directing. He worked together with choreographers such as Hafiz Dhaou, Faustin Linyekula, Ula Sickle, the Slovaks Collective, Andreya Ouamba, Sylvain Prunenec, and Boyzie Cekwana. He has done improvisation theatre plays for Papy Mbwiti and Clara Bauer.

In 2009 and 2010 he was awarded twice as part of the »Association des danseurs et choréographes de Kisangani« (DancKis). Dorine Mokha is the author of the dance pieces Reclus (2011) and Entre deux... (2013) and presented Underground, a dance music project, which is part of the Panafrican project PAMOJA.

In 2013 he has been assistant director of Drums and Digging by Faustin Linyekula and presented a preview of his solo Entre deux... at the Connexion KIN festival at Kinshasa. Furthermore Dorine Mokha participated in the SHARED SPACES network, including participation at the Connexion KIN festival and the Theaterformen festival in Hanover/Germany.

Dorine Mokha is a fellow in the special program Africa in Solitude at Akademie Schloss Solitude.
