Born 1985 in Haifa.
Haneen Naamneh is currently doing her PhD in Sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She holds an LL.M. from The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and LLB from Haifa University.
Prior to studying in Great Britain, Haneen worked as a lawyer, and she contributed to several Arab newspapers and cultural media, including Assafir al-Arabi and Jadaliyya.
Her recent publication is the essay A Municipality Seeking Refuge: The Jerusalem Municipality in 1948, which was published in the Jerusalem Quarterly Journal in Spring 2019 and was awarded The Ibrahim Dakkak Award for Outstanding Essay on Jerusalem.
In 2017, she was granted the Palestinian American Research Centre (PARC) Research Fellowship and a grant from Funds for Women Graduate (FfWG) in Great Britain.
