Born 1987 in Cairo/Egypt.
Mounir Saeed is a dancer, choreographer, musician, and dance teacher and graduate of the four-year Cairo Contemporary Dance Workshop Program (CCDWP). During his training there, Saeed was awarded the excellence award from the Cairo Opera House in 2009 for his first solo, The Game.
After winning third prize in the 20th International Solo Dance Theater Festival in Stuttgart/Germany (2016) with What about Dante, he performed in Germany, Italy, Spain, Dubai, Morocco, Lebanon and the USA (2016–2019). Additionally, he worked as a dance teacher at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome/Italy from 2016 to 2017.
He has participated in local and international festivals including: D-CAF, Cairo, Danza in Rete, Vicenza/Italy, Belgrade Summer Festival, Belgrade/Serbia, OnMarche, Marrakesh/Morocco, Les Hivernales – CDCN, Avignon/France, Acker Stadt Palast, Berlin/Germany and MAPAS, Tenerife/Spain. His collective dance performance Prophecy/Submission (2013) was funded by the British Council in Cairo.
