Born 1983 in New Delhi/India.
Simar Preet Kaur’s features and narrative essays have appeared in a range of publications including Commonwealth Writers, National Geographic Traveler, Papercuts and COLORS. She began as a travel writer and was the editor of in-flight magazine JetWings in Mumbai/India until 2013, when she moved to the Himalayas. She has since been working on a fiction set on a high mountain road.
Simar Preet Kaur received a Sangam House Fellowship in 2015. In 2016, she was awarded the Charles Wallace Fellowship in Creative Writing at University of Stirling/Scotland.
