Born 1988 in Karaganda/Kazakhstan.
Viktoria Morasch studied cultural studies and English at Potsdam/Germany and Lisbon/Portugal. She graduated from the Deutsche Journalistenschule, Munich/Germany.
Since 2015, she has been editor at taz am wochenende, where she is responsible for long reports. As a freelance author she writes mainly for Die Zeit and the Magazin of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. She received the Marion-Gräffin-Dönhoff scholarship (2016) and the Gabriel-Grüner scholarship (2019). During her stay at the Akademie Schloss Solitude she works on her first novel.
