I work with video, performance, drawing and installation.

I use these various different mediums to create strange collages or montages of our time I make fantasy realms that dance around cheap 70s sci-fi aesthetics using household objects and symbols from contemporary culture.

Previously I have worked with Ellie Bradford and Shali Liu under the guise of LEAK where we explored concepts like promiscuity and leakiness in relation to the female body and the aesthetics of excess.

More recently I have looked at a post-brexit Britain of the future:

Fortunes Fool is a video piece made with Nils Gunnars which plays with the concepts of nationalism, memorials, and poor housing. We are taken to a never ending grid where a helpful man from the Hackney Council (Hackney borough of London) gives advice on damp and mould removal in the home. A half Horse, half woman takes an audition for a Harold Pinter play ‘Old Times’ above London’s skyline.

For the web residency I would like to continue to work with the concepts of absurdity, fantasy and dance. I would like to build magical/sci-fi sets and create music/dance videos for a ‘youtube’ audience. Sets that look slightly ritualistic and voodoo as well as something plucked out of a trashy 70s sci fi set. I would like to create them in my room so that the viewer felt as though they were coming into a private space. As if I am giving them a dance. There will be fortune cookies, tin foil, and THE BEST NEW DANCE MOVES OF 2016.

I studied at Chelsea School of Art,London in 2013, and I am currently taking my MA at Umea Academy of Fine Art, Sweden under the tuition of Svetlana Heger-Davis. I work on projects between Sweden and the UK.
