As we take a photo, we try to stay perfectly still to capture the moment. We fail at that every time, even with stabilizing software and hardware built into our cameras.

By combining and juxtaposing a series of panorama photographs made with the iphone, our failures to keep steady and the workings of the algorithms built to save us become visible. At the same time, the dimensionality of the photographed spaces and the ridiculousness of our quest for a perfect reproduction appears obvious.

In this project I will examine the edge between visible and invisible failures and imperfection and create images that live on that edge.

I am a media artist and product designer living in Karlsruhe, Germany. I’m interested in examining the ways how the way our body moves shapes our identity. How the world around us makes our bodies move. How we move to create the world around us.

I have studied media art and product design at the University of Art and Design Karlsruhe.
