The 13th Web Residencies\u00a0\u00bbMuntu Maxims\u00ab\u00a0called for \u00bbimages that venerate the idea of things being central to the existence of life; [\u2026] Philosophies from new and\u00a0old communities that offer us new parameters for fresh grounds of engagement and subsequently suggest fresh ways of \u00bbrelating to\u00ab things and one another.\u00ab<\/span><\/span><\/div>\r\n

The following Web Residency projects and the accompanying in-depth interviews explore the immanence of (spiritual) things and beings that inhabit our everyday life\u00a0in the form of rituals, memories and imaginary deities.\u00a0<\/span>Marie-Eve Levasseur's project<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Brewing Symbiotic Care: Feeding and Nurturing a Fungi Cyborg Feminist Future<\/i><\/span><\/a><\/b>\u00a0makes visible the unrecognized work of the brewsters,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>alewives, and other women who brew for their kin to survive, while Lark Alder a.k.a. VCR\u2019s project<\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>..oOo.. \u00bbVirtual Moon Reverence\u00ab<\/i><\/span><\/a><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>aims to unite people in a<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>worldwide observance of the lunar cycle. The project\u00a0<\/span>A garden among the flames!<\/i><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>by Zahra Malkani<\/b> is a series of visuals based on endangered ecological forms that<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>reflect and manifest these cosmographies, and their relation to medical healing powers and the divine. Nkhensani Mkhari's project\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Zibuyile Zinkisi<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>references and<\/span>\u00a0represents thousands of artefacts; repositories of ancestral spirits.<\/span><\/div>\r\n
