Gal Kirn studierte Politische Theorie an der Faculty of Social Sciences der University of Ljubljana und anschlie\u00dfend Politische Philosophie an der University of Nova Gorica\/Slowenien, wo er 2012 seinen Ph.D. ablegte (Conceptualisation of politics and reproduction in the work of Louis Althusser: case of socialist Yugoslavia<\/em>). Von 2008 bis 2010 war er Wissenschaftler am Theory Department der Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht\/Niederlande und von 2010 bis 2011 Research Fellow zum Thema sozialistische modernistische Gedenkst\u00e4tten in Berlin\/Deutschland am Kulturlabor (Institute of Cultural Inquiry).<\/p> Er ist Mitherausgeber von Encountering Althusser<\/em>, Bloomsbury (2013) und Yugoslav Black Wave Cinema and Its Transgressive Moments<\/em>, Jan van Eyck Academie (2012), sowie Herausgeber von Postfordism and its discontents<\/em>, Jan van Eyck Academie (2010).
