Von 2002 bis 2010 studierte sie Kunstgeschichte, Ostasiatische Kunstgeschichte und mittelalterliche Arch\u00e4ologie an der Philosophischen Fakult\u00e4t der Universit\u00e4t Z\u00fcrich und der \u00c9cole Pratique des Hautes \u00c9tudes, Paris\/Frankreich. Von 2013 bis 2014 war sie Gaststudentin im Rahmen eines Forschungsaufenthalts an der Graduate School of Cultural Science, Saitama University, Japan und 2014 Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl f\u00fcr Kunstgeschichte und visuelle Kultur der Sophia University, Tokyo\/Japan. Zurzeit arbeitet sie an ihrer Doktorarbeit, die sich mit der Produktion von Raum am Schnittpunkt von k\u00fcnstlerischer Performance und architektonischer Gestaltung w\u00e4hrend der Nachkriegszeit in Japan, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf der Gutai group und der Osaka Expo \u201970, besch\u00e4ftigt.<\/p><p>Sie arbeitete als kuratorische Assistentin f\u00fcr Riotous Baroque. She completed her dissertation at the Institute of the History and Theory of Architecture, gta, at ETH Zurich, Switzerland in fall 2016. Her PhD \u201cPerforming Environmental Textures \u2013 Intersected Bodies of Gutai and Metabolism (Japan, 1955\u20131972)\u201d examines the production of space at the interface of artistic performance and architectural design in postwar Japan with a focus on the Gutai group and Osaka Expo \u201970 in the era of technological optimism.\n\nSchaad has published on contemporary art and architecture of postmodernism in Switzerland.
