Gurur Ertem ist mitgr\u00fcndende Ko-Direktorin von iDANS International Contemporary Dance and Performance Festival in Istanbul, wo sie seit 2006 verantwortlich zeichnet f\u00fcr kuratorische Forschung, Programmplanung und Publikationen. 2016 promovierte sie in Soziologie an The New School for Social Research\u00a0(New York, NY\/USA) mit der Thesis\u00a0The EUropean Dance: The Emergence and Transformation of a Contemporary Dance Art World (1989\u20132013)<\/em>.

Gurur Ertem hat sich spezialisiert auf die Soziologie von Kultur und Kunst, K\u00f6rper und Soziale Theorie sowie Kritische Theorie. Sie ist seit (fast) zwei Jahrzehnten in der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Tanzkultur als T\u00e4nzerin, Dramaturgin, Programmplanerin und Stipendiatin aktiv und gab mehrere B\u00fccher heraus zu Themen wie Dance on Time<\/em> (2010), Solo? In Contemporary Dance <\/em>(2008) und Yirminci Y\u00fczy\u0131lda Dans Sanat\u0131<\/em>\u00a0(2007).

Ihre j\u00fcngsten Publikationen umfassen den Band\u00a0Bodies of Evidence: Ethics, Aesthetics and Politics of Movement<\/em>\u00a0(Passagen Verlag, 2018), den Artikel \u00bbGezi Uprising: Performative Democracy and Politics of the Body in an Extended Space of Appearance\u00ab in\u00a0Media Practices, Social Movements, and Performativity<\/em>\u00a0(Routledge, 2017).

Derzeit forscht und schreibt Gurur Ertem \u00fcber die Politik des K\u00f6rpers\/mit dem K\u00f6rper sowie \u00fcber die affektive und \u00e4sthetische Dimension des \u00bbPolitischen\u00ab mit Fokus auf aktuellen sozialen Bewegungen, umstrittenen Performances und sozialer Psychologie. Als Stipendiatin der Akademie im Bereich Geisteswissenschaften arbeitet sie an einem Projekt mit dem Arbeitstitel\u00a0The Lived Body Under (Neo) Authoritarianism.<\/em>
