Er hat einen MA Abschluss in soziokultureller Anthropologie von der Universit\u00e4t Belgrad sowie in Solo\/Dance\/Authorship von der Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste\/des Hochschul\u00fcbergreifenden Zentrums Tanz Berlin. K\u00fcnstlerisch benutzt er die Choreographie als ein Medium der Interpretation verschiedener sozio-kultureller Ph\u00e4nomene und ihrer individuellen und kollektiven Verk\u00f6rperungen im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum. Zu seinen j\u00fcngsten Projekten z\u00e4hlen unter anderem <em>Hopelessness<\/em>\u00a0(2017),\u00a0<em>Only Mine Alone<\/em>\u00a0(2016),\u00a0<em>Streamlined<\/em>\u00a0(2014), und\u00a0<em>Expose<\/em>\u00a0(2014).\r\n\r\nAls Mitglied von Station \u2013 service for contemporary dance (Belgrad) engagiert sich Igor seit 2006 aktiv f\u00fcr die Gr\u00fcndung und Verwirklichung von verschiedenen Programmen: <em>Kondenz<\/em>, ein Festival f\u00fcr zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Tanz und Performancekunst, das Vermittlungsprogramm <em>Puzzle<\/em>,\u00a0sowie <em>NDI Archiving<\/em>, eine Plattform f\u00fcr darstellende K\u00fcnste im Balkan. Er lehrte auch als Professor an der Dance Academy in Belgrad (2015\u20132017).\r\n\r\nIgor arbeitete mit zahlreichen K\u00fcnstler*innen und kulturellen Institutionen zusammen:\r\n\r\nBitef \u2013 Belgrade International Theatre Festival in Belgrad, Dansens Hus and\u00a0Weld Company in\u00a0Stockholm\/Schweden, Tanzfabrik,\u00a0Uferstudios und Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin\/Deutschland,\u00a0sowie Rosas und P.A.R.T.S. in Br\u00fcssel\/Belgien.\u00a0Er wurde f\u00fcr verschiedene Stipendien ausgew\u00e4hlt, wie beispielsweise danceWEB (2009)\u00a0und das Tanzstipendium\u00a0der Kulturverwaltung des Berliner Senats\u00a0(2013), und gewann in Serbien mehrere nationale Preise f\u00fcr seine verschiedenen k\u00fcnstlerischen Arbeiten.\r\n\r\nIgor Koruga ist 2020\/2021 Stipendiat im Rahmen des Stipendiums TANZPAKT Stuttgart, einer Initiative des Kulturamtes der Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart, in Kooperation mit dem Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance und der Akademie Schloss Solitude\r\n\r\n2019 war er Stipendiat der Akademie Schloss Solitude im Rahmen des Austauschprogramms mit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dancestation.org\/station\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.dancestation.org\/station\/\">STATION \u2013 Service for contemporary Dance <\/a>in Belgrad.","person_txt_short":"<strong>Igor Koruga<\/strong> (1985) is a freelance artist working within contemporary dance and choreography. He graduated in M.A. studies in anthropology at the University of Belgrade and in Solo\/Dance\/Authorship studies at Universitat der Kunste\/HZT in Berlin. As a dancer, choreographer, and dramaturg, Koruga has collaborated with various artists (Ezster Salamon, Christine de Smedt, Anna Koch, Jeremy Wade, Ana Vujanovi\u0107, Willy Prager, Sonja Pregrad, Ana Dubljevi\u0107, Maja Pelevi\u0107, Olga Dimitrijevi\u0107) and with different theatre and cultural institutions (BITEF Theatre, Belgrade; Dansens Hus, Stockholm; Weld cultural centre, Stockholm; TanzFabrik, Uferstudios and HAU in Berlin, Rosas\/Parts, Brussels, etc.). Koruga \u00a0is a member of Station Service for contemporary dance (Belgrade) and a member of Association of Ballet dancers in Serbia. He is also an active member of the regional Nomad Dance Academy network in the Balkans. Through Station he has been engaged in work and creation of artistic and educational programs including the Kondenz festival of contemporary dance and performance; Puzzle \u2013 educational project; Generator \u2013 platform for development of dance theater and performing arts for young audiences in the Balkans; Archiving project, platform for archiving contemporary performing arts practices in the independent culturally-artistic scene in Serbia \u2013 through Nomad Dance Academy (NDA) network.
