V. in Berlin.<\/strong> As part of the event, we warmly invite you to readings, sound performances and discussions by and with the journal's authors.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe Solitude Journal 5 \u2013 <em>A Sound Was Heard!<\/em>, is dedicated to our acoustic environment, sounds and noises, and the different ways in which sound affects the body, travels through space and time, and shapes our perception.\r\n\r\nThe idea for the journal emerged from the 19th Web Residency, <em>Algorithmic Poetry<\/em>, which focused on the harmonic dissonance that connects sonic and poetic traditions to contemporary sound practices, with a particular emphasis on the use of machine learning interventions to create sound as a poetic device. Solitude Journal 5 \u2013 <em>A Sound Was Heard!<\/em> expands on these resonant threads.
