{"id":34757,"date":"2022-10-20T15:58:22","date_gmt":"2022-10-20T13:58:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/?post_type=news&#038;p=34757"},"modified":"2022-10-20T15:59:16","modified_gmt":"2022-10-20T13:59:16","slug":"digital-solitude-assembly-in-tiflis-from-october-21-to-24-2022","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/en\/news\/digital-solitude-assembly-in-tiflis-from-october-21-to-24-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Solitude Assembly in Tiflis from October 21 to 24, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"template":"","news_type":[664],"class_list":["post-34757","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry","news_type-news-en"],"acf":{"bgcolor":"","bgcolor_custom":"","custom_color_css_variable":"","content_type":[{"acf_fc_layout":"content_txt","bgcolor":"","bgcolor_custom":"","layout_col_size":8,"txt_cols":"is-1-txtcol","txt":"The \u00bbDigital Solitude Assembly Tbilisi\u00ab is a project that emerged from the Digital Solitude network and its 2022 festival edition \u00bbFragile Solidarity\/Fragile Connections.\u00ab Untitled Gallery Tbilisi invites Digital Solitude and former web residents and imitator of the current call \u00bbMagical Hackerism\u00ab, Juan Pablo Garc\u00eda Sossa, as well as artists from their community to foster exchange and dialogue between the Digital Solitude network and artist communities from the South Caucasian region.\r\n\r\nThe assembly takes place in the framework of the Tbilisi Architecture Biennale 2022, which focuses on post-Soviet \u00bbtemporalities\u00ab surrounding living spaces, scarce resources, political instability, wars, or means of income. The Biennale addresses present circumstances that do not adhere to concepts of permanence and conceptual stability.\u00a0Zhe assembly aims to respond to the themes of Tbilisi Architecture Biennale, adding a perspective of the possibilities\/constraints of digital \u00bbbuilt\u00ab environments and their temporality. Where do unstable temporalities stand in this period of transition of both political and digital systems? What is the role of the artists in constructing new utopias to overcome, hack, embrace, or work with those unstable patterns?\r\n\r\nSince its founding in 2016, the Digital Solitude program has established a formidable network. The program acknowledges a lack of exchange with the South Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), which is why it\u2019s important for all partners to meet in Tbilisi and explore the possibilities of web-based projects such as Akademie Schloss Solitude\u2019s Web Residency program. This residency brings together artists, researchers, and activists to develop new narratives and visions around digital media and technologies, and to promote works by South Caucasian artists working with digital media.\r\n\r\n<span class=\"has-font-maison-neue\" style=\"font-family: Maison Neue;\">The assembly will kick off with a joint exhibition at Untitled Gallery Tbilisi at 7 pm on October 21, 2022, and will continue with discussions, talks, presentations, and joint working sessions for three more days.\r\n\r\n<\/span>With contributions by von Salina Abaza, Thomas Dumke, Vusala Hajiyeva, Ksenia Nam, Theodolous Polyviou with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/en\/person\/jazmina-figueroa\/\">Jazmina Figueroa<\/a>, Giorgi Rodionov, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/en\/person\/juan-pablo-garcia-sossa\/\">Juan Pablo Garc\u00eda Sossa<\/a>, Denise Helene Sumi, and Tatev Tsokolakyan (represented by Diana Sardaryan).\r\n\r\nA collaboration between Digital Solitude, CYNETART Platform, and Untitled Gallery Tbilisi.\r\n\r\n<em>The project is supported by the Goethe-Institut Georgien, and the TMA Hellerau.
