Multidisciplinary artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/de\/person\/komborerai-chapfika\/\"><span class=\"has-font-maison-neue\" style=\"font-family: Maison Neue;\">Kombo Chapfika<\/span><\/a> will represent Zimbabwe\u2019s pavilion at the 60th International Venice Biennale, alongside Gillian Rosselli, Sekai Machache, Victor Nyakauru, Moffat Takadiwa and Troy Makaza. This will mark Zimbabwe\u2019s seventh consecutive appearance in the prestigious art exhibition which runs from April 20 through November 24, 2024.\r\n\r\nRaphael Chikukwa, Director of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, has been appointed to the post of official representative for the 2024 Zimbabwe pavilion, and the exhibition will be curated by Fadzai Veronica Muchemwa.\r\n\r\nThe overarching theme of the art exhibition has not yet been announced; however, the curator of the 60th International Venice Biennale, Adriano Pedrosa, has commented that continued attention is likely to be paid to narratives of the Global South.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content_txt","bgcolor":"has-bg-grey","bgcolor_custom":"","layout_col_size":12,"txt_cols":"is-1-txtcol","txt":"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/en\/person\/komborerai-chapfika\/\"><span class=\"has-font-maison-neue\" style=\"font-family: 'Maison Neue';\">Kombo Chapfika <\/span><\/a>is a Zimbabwean multi-disciplinary artist who studied in Atlanta\/US, obtaining a BA in Economics (2006).\r\n\r\nChapfika\u2019s work explores the mutation of contemporary African culture as it adapts to modernity and technological inter-connectedness.
