Six projects were selected, all of which explore creative ways of interrupting, hijacking, and glitching dominant technological systems \u2013 from ad tech surveillance to prompt injection vulnerabilities \u2013 imaging alternative structures and communication methods. The projects by the Web Residents coming from varied backgrounds range from simulations and digital curses to app subversions probing the boundaries of co-opting digital mechanics and infrastructures.<\/span>\r\n\r\nDuring the selection of a group of six international projects from 398 submissions, the jury was impressed by the highly sophisticated and professional level of the artistic approaches to the call for \u00bbIgnore All Previous Instructions.\u00ab The selected projects propose to exploit digital technologies as tools to invert existing hierarchies that extend into the digital realm. They also aim to reveal digital space as a site of power dynamics, veiled violences, and extractionist logics.
