In cooperation with Nordlabor of Schauspiel Stuttgart, Akademie Schloss Solitude has been asking current fellows to work on the topic The Future of Europe. Results are being presented on February 10th, 2018 at Nordlabor.

The exhibition When a Wave Rolls Out and the Next Has Not Yet Broken invites artists in residence at Akademie Schloss Solitude and artists from the Stuttgart art scene to present a wide range of different work stages at Akademie Schloss Solitude's off-space, Römerstraße 2A.
From September 14 to October 29, Akademie Schloss Solitude presents works of Anna Kubelik, Astrid Schult and Xinjun Zhang as well as parts of the art project The Secret Corner by Johannes Cladders, the first jury chairman of Solitude.
Single parts of the art project The Secret Corner by Johannes Cladders, first jury chairman of Akademie Schloss Solitude, will be publicly presented for the first (and last!) time between September 15 and October 29, 2017 in the Akademie.
Even though the frame stays the same, the Sommerfest is different every year, not only because of possible extreme weather conditions but especially because the program depends on the fellows who live and work at Solitude during that time. This year's Sommerfest includes exhibitions, video installations, performances, readings and open studios with fellows from Germany, France, Hong Kong, Canada, Palestine, Romania, Tschad, Hungary and the USA.
On Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 7 pm Akademie Schloss Solitude will be opening the exhibitions of Ana Mendes, Curtis Roth and Sebastian Däschle.
On Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7 pm Akademie Schloss Solitude cordially invites everybody to the exhibition openings of Dima Hourani, Simone Rueß and Petra Szöcs.
In her debut Halb Taube halb Pfau (half pigeon half peacock) Maren Kames developes a proper language and sound scenery with an incredible knock-on effect. She is the first fellow in cooperation with Literaturhaus Stuttgart. Reading and exhibition are the result of her three-month stay at Akademie Schloss Solitude.
From January 19 until March 5, 2017 the works of the fellows Kostis Velonis, Georges Senga Assani and Jelena Vesić can be seen at Akademie Schloss Solitude.
From November 18 until December 18, 2016 the works of the fellows Kai Linke and Ivana Ivković can be seen. In addition, the Akademie Schloss Solitude is also contributing to the anniversary of the exhibition series Retour de Paris by showing works from Rolf Schneider and Laura Bernhardt, both former fellows of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
On December 16 and 17, 2016 guided tours through the exhibitions are offered at 6 pm. The tour on December 17 will be guided by Akademie director Jean-Baptiste Joly.
In the exhibition In the carpet the swinging and reciprocal effects between the practices of art and craft, and the fruitful exchanges between centers in Europe and Morocco are highlighted.
From September 15 to October 30, 2016 new works by the fellows Nabil Ahmed, Ana Fradique, Jorge Orozco Gonzalez, Karolina Halatek and Anna Okrasko are on view at Akademie Schloss Solitude.

From March 11 to April 24, 2016 new works by R. Armstrong, Vladimir Miller and Louis-Philippe Scoufaras are on view at Akademie Schloss Solitude
Framed by the current topic »Biographies and the Production of Space,« the films by the Akademie Schloss Solitude fellows explore how biographies, time, and space are intertwined with each other.
In her video installations the former Solitude fellow Amie Siegel works with methods of transmission, appropriation, repetition, and duplication.
On Thursday, January 14, 2016, Akademie Schloss Solitude opens up the first series of exhibitions in the new year. From 7 p.m. onwards, the works and projects of current and former fellows will be on show. On the night of the openening, Maj Hasager will discuss her newest publication MAKING VISIBLE with Clara Herrmann.
