Thematic Focus: Mutations

From 2020 to 2021, the Akademie Schloss Solitude, in collaboration with the KfW Foundation, pursued the thematic focus of Mutations with the aim of strengthening the relevance of transdisciplinary and discursive-artistic practices within society and providing new conceptual impulses in this field.

As part of the Mutations program, a group of seven fellows worked together on this topic for the first time, beginning in October 2020 and collaborating over a period of nine months.

Ecosystems of Knowledge

With the format Ecosystems of Knowledge, Akademie Schloss Solitude developed a platform for collective work in 2021, that was developed by groups of fellows around a self-determined topic.

In the framework of continuous working sessions, methods of artistic and scientific practices were shared to establish a new understanding of the subject that is being explored. The aim of the format was to develop a variety of transdisciplinary approaches and to learn from one another as a group.
