In Game-Changers: The Game, each move is an improvised microperformance inspired by prompt cards – Challenges and Interventions – selected and co-created with extended peer networks. Audience members score the teams’ moves in real time and influence their chances of success. Every edition generates new discursive battlegrounds, cards, and stories, forming a growing archive of both situated, peer-juried future imaginings and modular, remixable game materials.

For the Web Residency, Rok Kranjc will develop a crypto commons layer for Game-Changers: a set of lightweight, open-source blockchain tools that turn this distributed authorship device into a collective governance experiment. Instead of speculative assets, NFTs become non-market tokens of contribution, care and co-curation. Card provenance is tracked as evolving cultural lineage; token-holders collectively decide which cards enter »cannonical« future decks, how editions fork, who should next be put on the hot seats as players, and which artists are commissioned to illustrate new cards.

The residency outcome will be a prototype of this game commons governance stack: a tokenized game artifact registry concept, participatory governance flows for co-curation of game events and editions, and a small proof-of-concept demonstrating how NFTs can function as rights-bearing governance primitives. It will include a concise »game commons charter,« diagrams and open documentation; any code produced will be released openly.
