Matthias Reinhold

Matthias Reinhold (*1978) is a visual researcher, exploring his memory by drawing. In his longterm project named ikonolog these internal images are juxtaposted with photographic views of the outer world and thus form a labyrinthic encyclopdia. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart in 2004 he lived in Hangzhou, Warsaw, Paris, Berlin and Stuttgart. Among others he received the grant of Stiftung Kunstfonds and is currently teaching drawing classes at the ETH, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
