I am proposing to make an immersive online experience where the participants will be able to dive in hi-res scenes from Monet’s water lilies paintings in Web VR environment with Cardboard. To bring this project into existence, I will be settling on using the WebVR standard. Using technologies like WebGL, Three.js and the virtual reality experience of Google Cardboard, viewer will have a new take on experiencing mesmerizing beauty of Giverny scenes.
In panoramic set-up, the resulting artwork will allow the viewers to shift with ease from the view up close to the distant perspective. From the wider pond scenes to the augumented brush details, camera zoom effects and visual and audio stimulus will make you experience a new take on looking at the masterpiece.
