The images we project and perceive in a world of multiplication and image metamorphosis allow a transgression of the self.
Through the practice of digital performance, avatar creation , distribution, embodiment and transformation I aim to explore the processes of virtual corporeality constitution, its importance in engaging with the world and in self-expression.
Focusing on inner personal narratives manifested through mashups of pop items, patterns of sentimentality and sexuality I question the cross-section between IRL and URL.
The project is based on affects, personal experience and on a range of emotions which may or may not be virtual constructs as well, self-generating to a point where everything but the online persona remains
In my web residency I plan to implement an online space which will include video and digital performances of the self mixed with 3D generated enviroments as well as audio elements. The online space will act as a display of surrogate intimacy you experience in the digital realm, but also as a platform with voyeuristic potency.
