Performance by Ivan Civic: »boxing the artist anti-hero«

Put an artist in a glass window, like in a »box« … seal him off and give him lots of time to get used to the idea of isolation … he will have only two options: either he gives in to solitude or he fights back and starts working on his discipline and focusing all his energy on his artistic goals … in either way … the trick is to learn to deal with his own self … that’s where it all begins.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is another story of the artist anti-hero … dressed in boxing fight gear, surrounded by and wrapped in hundreds of life saving blankets as supportive accessories, isolated in a box, waiting to begin the match with his biggest opponent: himself.
