In 2009, the Akademie’s Summer Festival offers lots and lots of music. The Ensemble ascolta, long-time friends with the Akademie, makes a fully musical time of the evening. In addition to original film music by Erik Satie from the 1920s (with film clips), the entire musical spectrum between entertaining and »serious« new music will be explored and perhaps even exhausted! The night also features performances, readings and open studios, as well as the last night of the »Open Archive« portion of the [promise, practice, protocol – performing future presences] exhibition. Food and drinks are served outside in the Akademie’s courtyard, and the arts of conversation, entertainment and art itself are, as always, the primary focus. Welcome to the party!
