On December 13, 2025 the third edition of the series Shindig by Curation fellow Lukas Beyer will take place at the Offspace Römerstraße. The program features a workshop and several concerts.

Shindig was created by Lukas Beyer and the artist Weiny Fitui. The series focuses on experimental post-internet music and provides space for learning and exchange. Editions of Shindig often feature current fellows as well as other artists. This edition brings together two current fellows and two additional artists who work at the intersection of field recording and music.

The  interactive workshop led by Peter Okotor current fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude starts at 1 pm. Participants will learn how to use sound as a tool for storytelling and creative expression, and they will gain practical skills for creating their own field-recording projects.

There will be limited capacity, to sign up for the workshop, send an email  at shindig.kontakt@gmail.com.

Part II starting at 7 pm invites three artists to (re-)consider the gap between music and field recordings, the tangible and the virtual. Julio Cann González’s contribution is based on field recordings by Peter Okotor from Lagos and Stuttgart, as well as his own recordings from Mexico and Tokyo, along with materials generated in the earlier workshop. Lea Mina Rossatti will incorporate the recordings emerging from the workshop, moving between sound collage, improvisation, and avant-pop. Lorenzo Mastrosimone performs his piece wald arpeggio, using a twig, guitar, and effect pedals.

The workshop is free, entrance for the concerts are donation based.
