The performance MOODY DRIFTS: AFFECTIVE RESISTANCE invites an embodied glimpse into the Yugoslav mass dance Slet, the mourning gestures of Romanian modernist dancer Miriam Răducanu, and the physical language of recent Serbian student protests – marked by exhausting running, jumping, and the iconic bloody handprint.
The piece explores how collective bodies move through and respond to today’s global crises: democratic decline, state violence, and injustice.
A piece by Neda Kovinić (Serbia), in collaboration with dancers Eliza Trefas, Sergiu Diță and Georgia Elza (Romania).
Soundtrack: Voices and sounds by Nevena Radulovic, Bojana Knezevic and others, and songs by Ex Ponto, Suba and Young Bosnia Remixes.
MOODY DRIFTS is part of RAMPE’s themed focus LEARNING FROM THE EAST.
