Statement on the war in Ukraine

As a haven for international artistic exchange, Akademie Schloss Solitude is committed to diversity, freedom of expression and respectful coexistence. We actively oppose discrimination in all its forms and condemn violence and military aggression.
Akademie Schloss Solitude is appalled by the actions of Putin, and condemns his war of aggression against Ukraine in the strongest terms. Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people, and we assure them of our full solidarity.

We are concerned for the safety of relatives of our fellowship holders and staff, for all alumni and partners in Ukraine and for all those affected by war worldwide. We support all those who take a clear stand against war – including Russian citizens – and are committed to peace.
