Terézia Mora receives Preis der Literaturhäuser 2017
The author and translator Terézia Mora, originally coming from Hungary, receives the Preis der Literaturhäuser 2017. Her prose often deals with outsider characters and thereby questions society and its norms. Her novels and narrations find great approval of the readers as well as of the critics. Her volume of narrations, Die Liebe unter Aliens, was also awarded the Bremer Literaturpreis 2017.
Terézia Mora was a fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in 2004 and this year she is the juror of German Literature.
The Preis der Literaturhäuser will be awarded on March 23, 2017 at 7.30 pm during an event at Literaturhaus Leipzig. It consists of a reading journey through the different German houses of literature and is endowed with € 15.000,00. From March 30, 2017 to June 22, 2017 Terézia Mora will participate in several events in different German cities to read in impressive way from her works. On May 11, 2017 she will be a guest in Literaturhaus Stuttgart.
