Born 1969 in Buffalo, NY/USA.

Studied piano and composition at SUNY, Buffalo. Composition teaching positions at Bennington College (1997-2000), Northwestern University (2000-2005), University of Pittsburgh (2005-present), all in the USA.

She has performed since 1995 in the Bugallo-Williams Piano Duo with a repertoire of contemporary composers. CDs include the complete piano works (solo and four-hands) of the Mexican-American composer Conlon Nancarrow (Wergo); transcriptions by Igor Stravinsky (Wergo); works of Jorge Liderman (Albany); works of Erik Ona (Wergo).

Her compositions have been performed throughout Europe and the United States, by such ensembles as Due East, International Contemporary Ensemble, Duo Diorama, Ensemble Aleph, Empyrean Ensemble, Monarch Brass, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. Grants and awards from ASCAP (USA), American Music Center, Pro Musica Viva (Germany), Wayne Peterson Composition Prize (USA), British Art Council, Britten-Pears Foundation (UK), Bellagio Study and Conference Center (Italy).
