Born 1986 in Zagreb/Croatia. 

Ana Kovačić lives in Zagreb/Croatia. In 2010 she received her Master’s degree at the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and in 2013 she received her Master’s degree in Animated Film and New Media also at the Academy of Fine Arts. 

In her work Ana Kovačić explores the link between personal and social memory and the way this memory is inscribed into our bodies and in the spaces we live in.

Her recent solo exhibition Where is Jasenaš? was on view at SC Gallery, Zagreb and Multimedia cultural centre Split, Split/Croatia (2016); and Virovitica City Museum, Virovitica/Croatia (2015). Her group exhibition Erste fragmenti was shown at Kranjčar Gallery, Zagreb and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb. In 2015 she received a prize at the Vizura Aperta festival, Momjan/Croatia.

Ana Kovačić is a participant in the exchange program between Akademie Schloss Solitude and Croatian artists from the Center for Independent Culture and Youth (POGON), Zagreb.
