Born 1978 in Pancěvo/Serbia.

Ana Vilenica studied Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrad/Serbia. Afterwards she graduated from the University of Arts in Belgrad and earned her Master’s degree in stage design.

Since 1999 she has been working as a freelance artist and performer as well as curator and art historian. Furthermore, she founded a theatre for children called Tom-cat Zorba and co-founded the theatre Subhuman theatre. In her work she deals with relations between art and activism, personal experiences and social conventions, human and technology. In 2005, she received the award Salone V for her video installation Od tuk do tam/From here to there from the Gallery for contemporary art in Pancěvo.
