Born in Budapest/Hungary in 1988.

Anita Harag is a short story writer who lives and works in Budapest/Hungary. She earned a BA in Indology from the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, and is currently pursuing her MA in Hungarian literature at the University of Pécs/Hungary. Her thesis focuses on Hungarian autobiographies written by 20th-century poets and prose writers.

She has been publishing short stories in literary journals since 2014 and was the recipient of the György Petri Prize in 2018. Her first collection of short stories, Rather Cool for the Time of the Year, for which she received Péter Horváth Literary Scholarship, was published by Magvető Könyvkiadót in 2019. She will be working on her second book during her stay at Akademie Schloss Solitude.
