Born 1979 in Münster.

Anne Vollenbröker studied fashion and textile design at Ravensbourne College in London (BA 2002 with honours) as well as cultural studies, journalism and Italian studies in Florence and Leipzig (MA 2008). Her Master thesis deals with private art collectors at the beginning of the 21st century.

In 2008, Anne Vollenbröker worked as a trainee at Galerie Eigen + Art Berlin. During her studies she worked at the Institute for Art History in Florence (2006), as a freelancer for the Porsche AG (2005), at Galerie Eigen + Art in Leipzig for the exhibition »Birgit Brenner: Sie lacht oft ohne Grund« (2005), at the Collezione Peggy Guggenheim in Venice (2004), at Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin (2003), and for the Leipzig city magazine Kreuzer (2003 until 2007).

In 2002, Anne Vollenbröker showed her own fashion collection at the London Fashion Graduate Week. The collection was chosen by the British Council for a world tour to introduce British design beyond Europe, and was published in i-D Magazine as one of the twelve best final projects.

During her fellowship at Solitude, Anne Vollenbröker will coordinate upcoming art, science & business publications as well as several events.
