Born 1975 in Cuxhaven/Germany.

Björn Franke studied industrial design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel from 1999 to 2003 and product design at the Royal College of Art in London from 2004 to 2006. He worked as a design consultant at Syndicate Brand & Corporate Design in Hamburg from 2001 to 2004. Since 2008 he has been a visiting lecturer in critical and historical studies at the Royal College of Art and since 2010 lecturer in design history and theory at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Björn Franke lives and works as a designer in London and is preparing for his doctorate in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art.
