Since 2000, Wiltrud Baier and Sigrun Köhler have been working together as the collaborative artist group/production company »Böller und Brot«. The focus of their work is film, in particular documentaries, but also flip books, cooking and gardening, as well as editing and tree pruning. 

Wiltrud Baier (born 1967 in Erlangen/Germany) first trained to become a pastry cook before studying at the Film Academy of Baden-Württemberg with the main focus on animated film.

Sigrun Köhler (born 1967 in Schwäbisch Hall/Germany) absolved an apprenticeship as a typesetter before studying at the Film Academy with a main focus on video documentary.

They studied together at the Filmakademie Baden-Württtemberg and won numerous international prizes and stipends. In 2012 they received the Grimme Preis für Information und Kultur (for information and culture) for their documentary Alarm am Hauptbahnhof – Auf den Straßen von Stuttgart 21.
They wrote, directed and produced five full-length documentaries focusing on the topics »Time« (How Time Flies, 2000), »Money« (Schotter wie Heu, 2002), »Faith« (Der große Navigator, 2007), »Power« (Alarm am Hauptbahnhof, 2011) and »Fame and Wealth« (Where’s the beer and when do we get paid?, 2012).
They also work on short films, video works, scripts, theater plays, unfinished novels, and the preparations for the building of a highway.

Böller und Brot are 2013–2015 jurors for documentary in cooperation with the MFG-Film Funding Baden-Württemberg.
