Born 1967 in Vilnius/Lithuania.

Camilla Baginskaite studied art history, art criticism, and product design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Vilnius/Lithuania as well as landscape architecture at the UC Berkeley Extension, Berkeley, CA/USA. She graduated from the art teacher certification program at the Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD/USA. After her studies she played chess at a professional level and participated in various competitions such as twice in the Women’s World Championships and seven times in the World Chess Olympiad. 
In addition to her chess career Camilla Baginskaite worked as a teacher and supervisor for the Peter Pan Parent Co-op Preschool and as a part-time Women’s Class Instructor at the Mechanic’s Institute Chess Club, San Francisco, CA/USA.

Since 2007, Camilla Baginskaite has been working as a chess club instructor in various Sioux Falls elementary and middle schools where she creates and implements lesson plans for small groups of students, coaches city and state tournament individuals and team participants, helps with city tournament organization and teaches in summer chess camps.
