Christoph Hoffmann

Studied German language and literature, and history in Frankfurt a. M. and Freiburg. He is a research fellow at the Max-Planck-Institute for the History of Science in Berlin and holds a teaching position at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt/Oder. Christoph Hoffmann has co-edited numerous publications as eg. “Über Schall. Ernst Machs und Peter Salchers Geschoßfotografien, Göttingen 2001” (Edited by Christoph Hoffmann and Peter Berz); “Hermann von Helmholtz, Philosophiae Scientiae. Travaux d’Histoire et de Philosophie des Sciences 7 (2003), Heft 1 (Guest editor with Alexandre Métraux). Together with Barbara Büscher and Hans-Christian von Herrmann he is co-editing the yearly published magazine “Kaleidoskopien: Medien – Wissen – Performance”.
