Born 1970 in Zagreb.

She studied architecture at the University of Zagreb (with diploma in 1996) and at the Berlage Institute (BI), Netherlands with a masters degree advanced design and urban planning 2000. She has collaborated with Luciano Basauri since 2003.

Dafne Berc has worked in various architecture offices in Zagreb, Amsterdam and New York and teaches urban planning with Luciano Basauri at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb. Selected projects: “Dynamic Archipelago Metropolitan Network” graduate thesis from the BI, exhibited at the Nederlaandse Achitektuur Institute in Rotterdam and at the Zagreb Salon Biennale.

Selected projects with Luciano Basauri: “Infrastructure over infrastructure” (workshop on tourism and local development on the island of Vis/Croatia, 2002), “Luxurious villa in Lovran” (first prize of an architecture competition in Zagreb, 2002), Landscape intervention on the civic axis of Zagreb (2005), “The recovery of Labin Coalmines” as part of research program on tourism and local development for seven sites along the Croatian coast (2005-2006).

She received an ArtsLink fellowship from the Soros Foundation (1997) and won several awards in architecture competitions in Croatia.
