Dominique Billier studied history and philosophy at the University of Panthéon-Sorbonne and at the l’Art de l’Ecole du Louvre in Paris. She wrote her doctorate thesis on „The artist’ studio“ in sociology.

She has lectured at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and worked as a correspondent in Sweden and Finland for the Art International Review.

She is interested in modern and contemporary Nordic art and she contributed to several French scientific publications in this field. Billier studied the relationship between artists, architects, craftsmen and designers. With Christine Hautin she co-published the book „Etre Compagnon“, edited by PUF, Paris in 2000.

Dominique Billier received a scholarship from Svenska Institutet to study at the University of Stockholm.

She is an associate professor in the Department of Management of Organisations and Human Resources at the ICN Business School in Nancy. She teaches art history and is responsible for courses and lectures on art, science and management.

Dominique Billier was a lecturer at the University of Paris (XII) and a guide at the Musée National de l’Art George Pompidou.
