Born in 1988 in Zadar/Croatia.
Ena Jurov is an illustrator, comic artist, and visual communication designer based in Zagreb. She received her B.A. in Visual Communication Design from the School of Design at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb (2012), and her M.A. in Storytelling from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden (2015).
In her artistic practice, Jurov collaborates with independent cultural initiatives, artists, and activist organizations. Her work brings together illustration, graphic design, mural painting, and comics with collaborative and workshop-based formats.
Her projects include the children’s book Children from Madina Hussiny’s Playground (Sandorf, Zagreb, 2025), created in collaboration with author Olja Savičević Ivančević; Trešnjevka’s Players (BLOK, Zagreb, 2024), a collaboration with journalist Ivana Perić; and The Passage / Prijelaz (Živi Atelje DK, Zagreb, 2021), created in collaboration with Selma Banich, Marijana Hameršak, and the Women to Women collective.
Her work has been presented at institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (Muzej Suvremene Umjetnosti Zagreb) and the Croatian Designers Association Gallery (Hrvatsko Dizajnersko Društvo Gallery) in Zagreb.
In 2025, Children from Madina Hussiny’s Playground received a special mention for the Ovca u kutiji award.
In 2026, Ena Jurov is a fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude as part of the Solitude Exchange Network, in cooperation with POGON – Zagreb Center for Independent Culture and Youth in Croatia.
