Born 1990 in Herrenberg/Germany.

Felix Reinhuber is a poet based in Berlin/Germany and Stuttgart/Germany. His writing operates at the intersection of poetry and other artistic disciplines: he writes poems inspired by visual art in a variety of ways, as well as texts for songs and larger instrumental and vocal works. In his work, he repeatedly explores the boundaries between the concrete and the abstract, between writing and the blank page. During his time at Akademie Schloss Solitude, he will also continue working on his first novel.

Most recently, Reinhuber wrote the extensive poetic cycle von mund zu mund, which forms the basis for the eponymous hour-long work by composer Márton Illés. von mund zu mund premiered in September 2026 at the Kammermusiksaal of the Berliner Philharmonie as part of Musikfest Berlin. Conceived for ensemble, voices, and electronics, the interdisciplinary work is performed by Ensemble Modern from Frankfurt/Germany and Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart. On February 3, 2027, the work will be presented as part of the ECLAT Festival at Theaterhaus Stuttgart.

von mund zu mund envisions a poetic evolution of language, spanning from deep prehistory to a near future shaped by AI.

Further texts by Reinhuber – including the cycle spuren/interlineare/ /horizonte on the work and life of painter Pierre Soulages – have appeared in the magazines Sinn und Form and die horen, as well as online in signaturen.

In 2026, Reinhuber was a tandem fellow at Künstlerhaus Edenkoben/Germany and the Cité internationale de la langue française in Villers-Cotterêts/France. In 2022, a fellowship from Atelier Mondial also took him to France, where he was a writer in residence at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris/France. In 2024, his work was awarded the annual fellowship of the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg. In 2020 and 2022, he was a finalist for poetry at the Open Mike in Berlin/Germany.

From 2010 to 2019, Reinhuber studied comparative literature, German studies, and English studies in Berlin/Germany, Durham/United Kingdom, and Freiburg im Breisgau/Germany, supported by the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst.
