Golschan Ahmad Haschemi is a dramaturg, author and performer. She studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim/Germany, as well as at the ESMA School of Music and Theater in Porto/Portugal.
Her work operates at the intersections of artistic, political, and academic discourses, exploring perspectives and practices that critique power. As a freelance dramaturg, she is active, for example, in the collectives AHH (Ahmad Haschemi/Hourmazdi) and donna’s gym, and works for institutions including the Staatstheater Hannover/Germany and the Ballhaus Ost in Berlin/Germany. She has taught at the University of Hildesheim and the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (Zurich/Switzerland). Through initiatives such as the »Toolbox – Perspectives and Discourses on Theater Critical of Discrimination«, she develops discursive formats that address conditions of production and reception and bring together aesthetic practice with institutional reflection.
