Born 1949 in Göppingen (Germany).
Studied design in Schwäbisch Gmünd and Kassel.
Staff member of the Institut für Industrial Design at the University of Hanover. 1988 foundation of the firm Büro Staubach Berlin, specialising in design and consulting for public transport, as well as in office and institutional furniture. 1989 professor of industrial design at the Fachhochschule Darmstadt.
Since 1993 professor of design at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, Hochschule für Gestaltung.
