Born in Belgrade/Serbia in 1989.

Šormaz currently lives and works in Belgrade/Serbia. In 2013, she graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts at the University of Arts in Belgrade. As a stage and costume designer, she has worked on several theater and circus productions, including Boxed (Belgrade, 2016), Oldness (Belgrade, 2014) and others.

During her studies, Šormaz started to practice contemporary circus (aerial acrobatics). She has participated in many workshops relating to different circus disciplines, contemporary dance and physical theater. In 2017, she received a fellowship for the Camping program at the CND (Centre national de la danse) in Paris/France. The same year, Šormaz lived and worked at the circus school Turbul in Nimes/France as a teacher to children, teenagers and adults as part of the European Voluntary Service project. Also in 2017, she completed a circus education program for children at the circus school Balthazar – Centre des arts du cirque in Montpellier/France.

She has performed and led multiple workshops for several contemporary circus festivals: Cirkobalkana (Serbia and Croatia), Turbul’ en Chape (France), Sur un Fil (France) and CircusEutopia (Germany). As a member of the Cirkusfera Association in Belgrade, she works as both an artist and teacher.

She has co-created and performed in numerous short acts and several plays: (UN)CONNECTED (Serbia and Croatia, 2019) – co-author, The partisans will come again (Serbia, 2019), Year without summer (Serbia, 2019), Boxed (Serbia, 2016) – co-author, Everyman (Serbia, 2015), and more.
