Irene Galindo Quero is a Spanish composer, who studied composition first with Pedro Guatardo at the Music College of Granada, and now in Freiburg with Cornelius Schwehr.

Her works focus on the connection between speech and music, poetry and sound and experiment along the bounds of music, speech and literature.

Recent compositions: »u.s.w.« (2008) for violine, clarinet, cello and contrabass; »a piece of paper« (2008) for two to four performers and a piece of paper as well as »Linea« (2008) for two women’s voices and cello.
